Fairoaks Road Repaving Delayed by Weather Conditions
The Department of Watershed Management (DWM) advises residents of the Fair Oaks community that final repaving of Fairoaks Road will be delayed due to wet weather conditions.

Originally planned for the January/February timeframe, repaving has been rescheduled for the week of March 5-9, 2018, weather permitting. Unforeseen storm drain issues at the Fairoaks Road/Oak Grove Road intersection and persistently rainy conditions unsuitable for effective asphalt paving have delayed this final construction activity.

At present, next week's forecast calls for warm, dry weather conducive to paving. We are hopeful that the repaving of Fairoaks Road from Wilshire Lane to Pangborn Circle can be completed as scheduled. Weather permitting, project contractor Layne Inliner will complete final construction activities for the Fair Oaks Water Main Replacement project as follows:

    •    March 5-9 - Milling and repaving from Wilshire Lane to Pangborn Circle
    •    March 12-23 - Lawn restoration, traffic sign and curb installation
    •    March 26-30 - Fairoaks Road striping from Lavista Road to Pangborn Circle

Repaving from Pangborn Circle to Oak Grove Road will be completed once storm drain issues at the Oak Grove Road/Fairoaks Road intersection are resolved.

Please be advised that lane closures will likely be in effect, driveways will be impacted and access to the road will be limited as a result of resurfacing activities. Heavy equipment and construction noise may also be noticeable.
Paving activities should be completed within the timeframe listed above, although schedules may change based on unforeseen conditions. Contractors have strict instructions to restore all roadways to normal service no later than 4:00p.m., unless emergency circumstances arise.

DWM will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available. Please contact the DWM Project Information Line at  1-800-986-1108 or Email Us  with questions or concerns.
