Help envision the future of metro Atlanta through the Atlanta Regional Commission’s (ARC) “Framing the Future” photo contest. The competition is part of the ambitious Fifty Forward visioning effort, coordinated by ARC, the regional planning agency for the 10-county metropolitan area. ARC is looking for thought-provoking images, produced within the past year and submitted between July 24 and Sept. 30. The entries should capture: 1) What you value about today’s Atlanta region and/or 2) What metro Atlanta could and should be 50 years in the future. Jurors for “Framing the Future” are: • Rebecca Des Marais, Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta Art and Cultural Enrichment Program • Amy Miller, director of Atlanta Celebrates Photography • Valenda Campbell, CARE photo editor • Annette Cone-Skelton, Executive Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia To Submit Entries Join the "Framing the Future" Flickr group at www.flickr.com/groups/framingthefuture/ and add your image to the group pool. Submissions are limited to one person per category. Deadline: Midnight on Tuesday, September 30th, 2008 Eligibility • This photography contest is open to amateur and professional photographers of any age, except employees of the ARC and their immediate families.* • Submissions must be a photograph taken in the Atlanta metro region, OR a digitally manipulated image originating from a photograph taken in the Atlanta metro region. • There is no entry fee.
