Nightclub Ordinance Drafts

Commissioner Rader introduced legislation in March 2008 to regulate nightclubs through zoning. If approved, the ordinance will give the Board of Commissioners a deciding role on the location of these activities in DeKalb, based on their impact on surrounding land use. 

Since the introduction of the original legislation, its content has been modified in response to public feedback. The latest draft of the legislation is posted below.

Commissioner Rader welcomes ongoing feedback as this legislation moves through the public review process. Once done, Commissioner Rader hopes to garner support from the Board of Commissioners.
